got mine when i was 28, right after i paid off the tacoma.

When I was 18 I bought a 5 year old Toyota PU with the 20 R engine. I drove that for 11 years, sold it, but I saw it still running 5 years later.

When I was 29, I bought a new 94 Landcruiser, and still have it today.

I'm now 42, and just bought an 06 LX.

Lots of years, and only one vehicle sold. Gotta love Toyota.

I have owned only Toyota cars my entire carear as a driver. From the Cressida when i was 16, to my Tacoma 4x4, to the Corolla, to my Matrix (daily driver).

I have always loved Landcruisers but never had the assets to make the purchase of one. I started getting frustrated that I couldn't go camping or get outdoors, so I started looking for a truck to go out and do stuff with. A "Beater" if you will. I found this site by mistake while looking up information ont he FJ40, and started (for some reason) reading about the FZJ80...it was a hard crush. I had a lust for this vehicle, even got caught in parking lots looking in windows and underneath mall cruisers (some funny situations).

I own my first Landcruiser (unlocked) Fzj80. I am 28 years old as of last month and it is my "recreation" truck. I won't use the word "BEATER" when talking about my truck. It's name is Bruiser and I am addicted!

Glad that you finally decided to come clean. :D ;)

First car ever was an '84 Corolla. I started the drift craze in '88 ;) Owned it for 7 years.
'95 First Toyota truck was a '90 4x4 Shortbed V6 drove it for 100K miles and only lost $3K when I sold it.
'04 bought a '84 FJ60 and restored it with a lift/tires/paint. Sold to a friend.
'06 bought my LX450 and put on some 33's first month. Lift comes next. It can wheel, tow, haul, has all the creature comforts, and really likes fuel. I'm 33 now.

I was 33 when I got mine. I have admired them since the 80 series came out but had to settle for a 4runner till my current 80. Now nothing else will do. :D

bought my lx450 back in 1999 with 65,000 miles on her now she is cruising at over 126,000. Got hooked like many now I cant explain to the wife why I am always on this dam site. Everyday , I still think it is the best looking truck out there, plus she is paid for ! @ 32

I drove my first Cruiser at 27 - a 1980 FJ40 - went coast-to-coast., twice. Fell in love.
I bought that very same FJ40 when I was 40. Still have it.
Graduated to a locked '96 FZJ80 at 43 this past April. My two-year-old thinks it is hers.
Have a '90 Toy 4X4 p'up also. I cannot seem to get enough.

Wife drives a all-wheel drive Subaru Impreza Outback. Tried to talk her into a WRX wagon, but she does not drive a manual.

I'm überproud of my 80, bought last March... I was 31.

45 when I bought my 97, if I'd only known then when I bought my 4Runner what I know now with my cruiser. Loved the 4 Runner, should have spent the extra money and bought the LC, I would have a nicely modified cruiser by now.

26. Don't know what I'll replace it with when the time comes, maybe a 100 series (diesel of course:grinpimp: ) or maybe a later 80 with a 1HD-FT and lower Km's.

Or maybe a V10 TDi Tourag with more boost and more fuel - muuuwahhhhhhhhh

I was 47 when I bought my 95 FZJ80 with 205K in 2006 (TWO WEEKS AGO!)

40 years old, Landpimp hooked me up.

Working on owniing two gassers and now on my second diesel, which should arrive from japan very soon.

Love the 80s and what they can do, specially the cool factory ice box in the jap units.

34 when I got the 96 cruiser...

Funny story...my parents had an FJ60 since I could remember...and what did they do?????? Sold it when I was just about to turn 16 and bought a Suburban...I could not believe it...and to top it off they sold it to a friend of ours and I still see it to this day every once in a while...then found a '97 LX-450 sitting on a side street with a for sale sign in it...I was 25 when I got it and I LOVE IT!!!:D :D

I had been looking at FJ60's since I was 21, and before they blew up from 4k to somewhere near 10k back in 2000. I had my first kid when I was 32 in 2001, and needed to get what I was calling a "wagon". I drove older e30 series beamers (had 5 in all) but regularly ran an XR in Hollister, PiPi and the Baja, so I'd always had a taste for dirt. Well, it came down to a 2002 4Runner, so I ran down to the dealer to get it. Just so happens they had picked up an 80 a month back that wouldn't move. Too much cash I suppose. Anyway, the wife was sold on it after she took a spin in it. Outa my range at 20k we almost gave up until the dealer gave it up for space. Walked out spending 18k with her having 92000 miles. This was LESS than the 4Runner in both cash and miles. Took almost 5 years to go true "Land Cruiser" with it, adding lift and armor. Now, we are planning our DV trip and a Baja trip across the the Penninsula with it, kids in tow. I'm 37 now, and I'm STOKED.
