Friday was the last day that I worked for the Bridge/Rail Road.

After have been there for almost 8 years, I was able to turn off my cell ph. at night.

Back in November I had a ph call for a Job interview, and like my Boss John says, I shoveled my pile and got the Job.

all these events are rare but true, I did not apply for the Job they called me.

The guys I met for the interview came from Mississippi, since the main office is on Ridgeland,MS.

I said Mississippi? I know a few Rednecks from up there!:hillbilly:

Have I mentioned that I am White Trash too! I said all these during my interview, that sure got their attention. ...and got them laughing too.

...Then I went on to my duties w/ the B & M Bridge and must to say something that I made a good impression on them that got me the Job.

The company that I am working is Horne LLP. Horne is an accounting firm doing project management for HUD and The Texas Housing Development.

I got hired as a supervisor, once trained, I'll become the Project Manager.

Next year is a new beginning!

...and I really hope to have the time to see you'al at the Round Up.

hopefully my 40 is done by then, since my 80 has seen better days.

Well...congrats on the new job!

I did quit to both sides of the bridge sir!

we run both sides, US & Mex, that's what's unique about this bridge.

We run autos, Pedestrians, Trains and maintenance of buildings and RR track on both side of the border.

I quit to everything!

It really feels great to be able to turn off the cell phone at night! :D:

Congrats JP!

Project Manager? I guess that makes you a white collar redneck.
;-) Happy Trails! N

Hot damn he's coming to MS! Wait a minute! Oh what the hell we'll take ya.

Congrats buddy!!!

So y'all gotta move somewheres for the new job?

:flamingo:

well we're moving regardless, even if it is to Brownsville. The office will be in Weslaco, about 40 miles north west from B'ville.

Well regardless of the title, it's a great opportunity:hillbilly:

I am coming to visit for a month, going to Gulfport,MS.

I'll be flying in and out during training, once trained, I got to set up the office and hire people.

:flamingo:

I would think the opportunity to move away from where you get midnight knocks on the door about stolen vehicles would be enough to make you WANT to move!

Congrads JP. The Cottonland crew will never be the same!

Well, I am going to be visiting Gulfport,MS for a month, I ain't staying there!

The Job is in the Rio Grande Valley, to be exactly about 45miles northwest of Brownsville,TX.

I'll start there and later where ever they send me.

If this gig don't work, I am going back to Union Pacific RR.

I left the Bridge Co/RR in a good way, that's if this job don't work I'll have a job w/ the UPRR.

I sent them a thank you note to the board of director(UPRR) for all the slapping/punching they gave me on those meetings w/ them.

I told them if this gig don't work, I am coming back to RR to lay rail and ties for them.

All I want from them is to vouch for me.

So far I got all Yes!

I can't complaint, this year has been great!:D:
