i would buy it but waitng 15 years is out of the question...
but
we HAVE figured out how to get it into Canada legally so... maybe.

Its worth about $35k in oz. They were around $60k new in 06.

Someone has an ex Fire and Rescue 1998 HZJ75 for sale here with 104K for $18k,no tray, cab chassis only.
These guys seem to pamper their cruisers, mainly used for grass fires and escorting full sized trucks
Kind of had a little spasm of "must have" when I saw it:D

you realize people have that tied up in gasser FJ's and new tundras and stuff? Still way out of my range though

Yeah ,I saw one dude who has a $500 month repayment on his FJC and wants a 60 series and no repayments
I will never borrow money for cars ever again.

"If you need finance ,you dont deserve it" is my creed;)

similar, i bought this as a fire truck over a year ago and still have not even sat in it...
feel sorry for me!

Whats the hold up? I thought this had come and gone:confused:

So if you have a farm ,mine or logging company, does that mean you can road register it?
Can it be sold after a reasonable period to anyone?

nah, it has been legal for import since before i bought it. since it is my own rig it is low on the priority list so each time i have been ready to ship i sell a different vehicle and THAT one gets the priority. MAYBE next month i will be able to get it over...maybe not.

Ok, help me out here. I just can't see that in materials and production. Is this the US $?

I mean...they welded together the body panels on my 91 4x4, slapped it on a fully boxed frame, a 22RE and W56 later it was $13k IIRC.

Is the increase in the DT?

I just can't see it. And mine was the top flight, best of the best IFS. I thought IFS was more/ cost more money than a simple cave man SA?

Please don't think of my comparison as an insult. I don't mean it that way and I do agree you have to pay for quality, BUT. School me on why this is a $60k SA 4WD.

Economics 101, supply vs. demand, and market value.

WOW, I totally agree....

Who's 3rd world now?

What I mean by that is, one would assume the country's that are buying them, and apparently at the rate, have less of the "economy" we do.....

Wow...

The aussie dollar and the US dollar are almost at parity.Aussies are wealthier than americans by the fact they have less debt.

None of the 70 series have ever been cheap.
Last year they were selling the base model 79 series for $4000 more than a petrol V8 100 series

60k for that.....wow. I guess there is always a costumer for everything. Personally I would never again buy a truck that is not at least extended cab, but to each his own.
