I dont know how to tell by looking at the tachometers themselves. Im sure there are visual differences, but you would need to compare all the tachometers side by side to know what those differences are.
What matters is where the tachometers came from. The market, transmission type and whether or not the engine was equipped with EGR (for 1HD-FT) all matter.
In short, you would need to look at the wiring diagrams for the particular truck that the tachometer is from and check to see if the signal from the sensor on the IP goes straight to the tachometer. If it does, then that tach will work on HZJ80. If the signal goes to some sort of ECU first (EGR ECU or ECT ECU), then the tach will not work on HZJ80
