HVAC blower replacement.

Previous owner broke the blend door actuator and linkage changing the cabin air filter. Talked to toyota and they said they don’t sell just the blend door, have to buy the whole assembly. I’m fine with that but I’m wondering if anyone has replaced this before, was it hard? how long did it take? I can get the parts tonight and get them installed pending the difficulty of the project. Thank you in advance for the help, going on 6hr road trip in the humidity with no AC on Monday so I’m crossing my fingers.

Have you driven the truck with it busted? Mine was broken in my '11, and honestly I barely noticed.

Seems like a major project, looks like the entire dash has to come apart. AC will need to be discharged, then recharged. $$$ unless you have the equipment to do this.

I have the same problem that this person had, only I wasn’t so lucky and the recirc hood is broken at the linkage.
