hi im trying to convert my 24 volt sytem on my hdj81 and make it 12 volt because ive been dong research and there is alot more 12 volt staters and there cheaper and last longer (we bough a starter and it broke after 6 months) thats why i want to convert. some guy suggested it to me to convert and to do this you have to get rid of the 12-24v solenoid. has anyone done this ? and if so how do you connect the wires? plus to plus and minus to minus ? and i have small little cables connected to one wire do i just connect it the same way ( ill send a pic of my 12-24v solenoid.

need a answer ASAP because our starter broke and we dont want to spend 400 bucks on a new starter.

The first pic you'll see four main wires and than two little wires bolted in the solenoid, one has a greenish connected thing
