Just finished this job. Thanks for the tips and diagrams. I used the Posi-tap connectors as there were exactly four left over from a recent project. It looks like the current version of the cheap FicBox unit from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HB5M5R2) has been updated, but all the wire colors line up perfectly with the diagram provided by ibjettin. One mistake I made was grabbing the first black/blue wire I found when I opened up the harness going to the rocker switches in the armrest. Took me a few moments for figure out why "lock" was not working. Turns out there are several black/blue wires in there, and you want to the one with the orange paint marks on it.

+1 to using this Amazon kit and @ibjettin's diagram with great success. I am now missing the light indicator however, and plan on hooking that up in the coming weeks. Looks like the remote kit has two brown wires I could use to run through the door panel, behind the dash, and hook into the front and rear lights.
Add it to the list.

Ordered my Bulldog system Tuesday. Trail Teq shipped it yesterday (Friday), so very quick turnaround on your order IME.

One more success story following this recipe, cheapo Amazon kit and diagram in previous post.

I ran the brown wires through the door, under the gauge cluster, and tapped into two wires on the hazard light switch harness. One brown wire tapped into the green/yellow and the other brown tapped into the green/black. Lights flash once for lock, and twice for unlock! Awesome $20 solution!
