2- I did NOT remove the Neg Battery cable due to the fact that I was not working with live voltage.

FYI, next time you might want to go ahead and disconnect the battery, you're horn is a live wire.

"BBBZZZZZZTTTT HOOOONNKKK OWWWWWW CCCCRRAAAAPPP"..or something of that nature can/will occur.

I've pulled the complete wiper and indicator setup from a surf/SR5 hoping this will fit straight on the pickup steering column and the multi connector will plug straight in, this could be a quicker swap?

Has anyone already tried this?

Yes, the horn WOULD be a live B+ IF the harness was still connected.

You disconnect the harness in the very beginnng to do this mod and as such, you are not working with live voltage.

I COULD have bought the entire SR5 "switch housing assembly" from Toyota which would have been about 75.00 more.

Honestly, it would not have saved that much time-at least not 75.00 worth. However, if you already have one then yes it would save time and be worth it.

Yes your right. I managed to find a cheap second hand one and fitted it today and it works

So if you just get the wiper switch, you have to change out the wires in the one big connector under the column? But if you get the whole wiper switch/turnsignal switch, then it's plug and play? I think I get it now.... :D

Yes, that is correct.

But again, you really do not save that much time. I mean, taking out the old wires/removing wiper switch from switch housing is really a 15 minute job at most.
