just wanted to confirm that this is removed with a twist and lift (or expect to probably pry up)?

Probably sealed with an o ring in there? Mine was cut when engine removed so I'll order a new one 16268-17010

pound in spud- use some freeze plug sealant when driving back into place.

coming out the spud is at least 1/2" deep so keep gently prying after you rotate 90 degrees.

any tips or tricks to remove and install new bypass pipe motor still in the car

If I remember right it didnt fight to much, and my motor was pretty crusty. Just twist back and forth and lift upwards
