There were two pto levers. This is the late model with the bracket bolted to the the H55F transmission, which I have in it stock.
The old one was just a stick without the button and bracketed to the body and located more to the fwd, (where the pre-cut would show)
If you have a photo it would be helpful

Here is the transmission with the shifter mounted. The Australian plaque was dated 6/84. Transmission is a H41 plus split T case with hand brake.

Floor was crushed in the accident. Looking from the left side this is the PTO shifter hole with T/T inspection cover above it.

This looking down. PTO hole on the left and inspection cover on the right.

Need to do some part number search but wondering if the shifter isn't for a 6X or 7X series. That would line the shifter up with transmission shifter.

Did some checking. Found a bunch of different bracket part numbers. Both the 6X and 7X series show the shifter angled back. 4X series with a five speed are straight up. The column with the buttons is the same on both four and five speeds in the 4X series. The bracket that bolts to the transmission is different between the four and five speeds in the 4X series.

Noticed your also only has on and off. That is a single direction PTO. Everything I find searching part numbers for the 10/82 and later for a 4X series is the two direction PTO with a neutral.

Sorry, you're right! The lever is a later model with a sweep back angle while that should've been a straight one sticking out at the right spot.
anyway, that's what it is now..

I feel I was really lucky to have found a correct late model 4X series PTO end up in a wrecking yard about ten miles away. I picked up all the running gear except the 2H. The idea of having to ship it even across the US would have killed the deal.

I would gladly sell the PTO to get the correct H55F top cover for the 4X series with the shifting cane. I got the inspection cover with the T/T boots. It looks just the the boot on yours even thought it's only a four speed.

I actually had a straight one too but in much worst condition.. That's why I didn't use that one. What a mess.. One day get it sorted. Its working perfectly only the aesthetics..

No mechanical issues at all, its running like a charm. The only thing is the lever not the correct one and not in the correct spot. The pto is shifting and running ok.

Hello, I am FRENCH excuse me if the translation is badly done with google translate:

I come to the news to know what it is in the manufacture of PVC floor mats? In Europe it exists but in carpet not too badly done but I prefer to have one as originally.

It is for a left-hand drive for a BJ42 of 1982 bv4 without mechanical winch.

Sorry, not for a 1982. It will soon be available for '73 to '78.

Any new news on mats? I need one for the 79’

The only thing stopping from buying this is how it will work with a 5 speed with the appropriate top plate.

Any chance you will make a thicker mat for the ‘78 with the TOYOTA logo? I notice the newer models may get that.

^Looks great, Dad will be out to pick one up soon.

Don’t want to hijack but if anyone could recommend a non spray-on insulation to go underneath (that’s better than the Home Depot stuff) let me know. Trying to keep it simple, this topic has so many posts it makes my head spin. My only concern is water retention on floor boards—the felt tends to be like a sponge in an area that’s always wet in winter
