how much money

You might be right. I think the 6 inch lift might be too much. Unless she is going to do rock crawling, the 2.5" is more than enough. I know Christo, let her get the 6 Inch lift if she wants.

The 6 Inch lift and 35 inch tire will add 8 inches to the height. If thats what you are looking for. The 2.5" lift and 285's (33's) added almost 3.5 inches, almost 4 to my clearance. If you stick to 285's, you can still utilize the current spare tire location. This would allow you to build it up a peice at a time and see what you like.

What ever lift you are looking for, Slee is the best source.

Just my 2 cents, okay 1.5 cents!

You could send Christo an e-mail and ask about the gearing. I have changed my plans based on his advice. Check out his site about tires:

man i really did confuse some people huh ...
the landruiser i was looking at and bought today was bone stock
the lemon lot is a place where military people sell there cars when there sent overseas and stuff
the previous rig i had was a jeep grand wagoneer
i was going to get a 88-90 fj 62 landcruiser cause i like the body and style it has but i ran into slee's website and just flipping throu the pages made me jealous hehe so i went with the newer style and the lockers are nice
thanks for all the input

Now you need to post some pics. Congrats on your purchase. An 80 with Lockers even in stock form is more capable than most other rigs with lots of mods. Your working the right mods. Armor and clearance. The amount of clearance (and lift) depends on what you plan on doing.

This is a great article if you aren't familiar with the 80 and its 3 lockers. Helped me out a lot.
