How many balls does it take? (1 Viewer)

Well, my "slight wobble" has gotten worse and I would like some ideas... When I first drove on the tires with golf balls I was at 35 psi with cold bias ply tires. After a wheeling trip, I was aired down to 10 psi as my on-board air decided to die on me. It seemed to do fine on the street this way. No real wobble, but you could tell they were aired down. I had it parked on 10 psi for 2 wks. I was going to drive the truck today so I drove it to the gas station for gas last night and you could feel the flat spots. I filled the tires up to 20 psi and the death wobble is horrible! Now it's violent death wobble between 35 and 45 mph with the tires warm and much worse when they are cold. I need to figure this out! Any ideas would be appreciated.

Any new damage from your last wheeling trip?

hydro assist is very streetable, even for a daily driver..

Just thinking something got loosened up from the trip causing DW to be worse. You've checked all the linkage, blah, blah...

It was fine before the trip and I wasn't wheeling hard. It seemed fine on the way back and it has been parked until today. I will double check as usual, but it feels like tires.

You are gonna want different tires if you want to DD the rig..

it cost me like $200 if I remember correctly, pretty cheep... Just sayin, its up there with the best thing ever

Yes I will. The plan is some cheap, used 37's to wear out on the street and beadlock the 17's for the Iroks.

Was this on an 80 axle? Do you know if the 80 box will flow enough to run hydro assist? I really don't know that much about it, to be honest.

80 axle should be easy to add a ram to. Flow depends on how big of lines you use, the box is fine. The pump? I don't know, the mini truck pumps suck but thats all I know.

80 box will flow just fine.

I am not a fan of the pump, but a 1.5" ram won't make a huge difference.

yes, i would suggest a 1.75". hydro is the ultimate DW bandaid, or, maybe I should say cast, you will not have problems again afterward. Disclaimer: You should continue to replace warn out parts.

1.75 might be kinda hard on the PS pump.

Toyota never got PS pumps right.. the 80's pumps are no beter than the mini pumps (pretty much the same pump)

BTW, the boxes are super easy to port.

I am thinking the mini is only one gallon per minute
