What do you guys think of this 4Runner semi-local to me?

It has been listed for several months. I believe it is on consignment at the dealership. Supposedly owner won't take anything less than $7k, but it "has a bad valve." Whatever the hell that means. Seller says it starts, runs, and drives with no smoke, but you can tell about the "bad valve" upon acceleration.

Aren't the 3VZ-E interference engines? Could a valve be "bad" without wrecking the entire valve-train?


I want it for an engine swap anyway, but $7k seems high.

Hey, I know I’m at a date here but currently I’m looking at a Land Cruiser that they have listed. What was your feeling on dealing with these guys because I’m a little sketched out over it all…. Not saying that they’re bad guys. I just don’t understand their platform and nothing seems to be in a direct answer. Everything is vague.
