Took my 77 steering wheel off today. The contacts for the horn are badly corroded. Is there a source for new contacts for the strip that is screwed in ?

Mine is a rusty mess. I need the spring strip that is held by a single screw. The wire screw is so rusty I will likely have to drill it out.. Any help appreciated.

Put a few drops of Kroil on it every day and let it soak for a few days. Use a good fitting driver to un-screw it.

Flat spring stock can be found (old dead wind up clocks) or a places like midway usa gun springs also copper or brass strips sometimes nickel plated.

Soak them in EvapoRust overnight. It won't hurt the plastic and will remove the rust. I've had great luck soaking smaller rusted items like that.

I thought you meant the contact that rubs with the ring in the center of the wheel. Yea those are a challenge. Try the local Toyota dealer though, you never know.
