Myself and a friend just pick up 2 Canadian mine trucks here in New Brunswick. Cabs are completely shot and mine still had the people hauler that transported upto 10 people.

With 10 leafs in the rear and 7 up front they are pretty stiff...lol The "twins" we are calling them are going to be turned into rock crawlers. Its a great base to start with and I will be looking for input thru the builds.

To start they are both identical with consecutitve serial numbers both build the same and shipped from Japan as incomplete vehicles.

Came with: 1HZ motor, H55F tranny, 4.11 gears (9.5" ring gear) with LSD in the rear.
mine sat for a year, changed the batter connectors as they were shot. Hooked up my
optima yellow top and in 45 seconds it was purring beautifully.

I'm looking for a used compatible turbo if anyone has one kicking around for an 1HZ? lol

Cheers,

Hey Wayne,
As an 80 owner I resent that...
Well not really. ;)

I do like a good latte now and then.

Bob

What about getting a HJ75 from central america.?
In costa rica there are ALOT of cruisers down there . just about every diesel model u can think of
I live down there part of the year and recently bought an 85 HJ75 troopy.
I am continually looking into getting some of these cruisers back to the USA.
If there is a way I will find one , I was told on this forum years and years ago that I couldnt legally import a HJ60 into California from Canada, but I did it and shared Trevor Normands info with this board and I belive he has imported dozens since. This coming winter I will be spending alot of time looking into sending some up to the US.

There is an HJ75 in Pickering and I have one in Courtice. Keep an eye out for it.

For those of us who were always challenged by geography, where is Pickering and Courtice? You don't mention your location in your profile.
