Thanx for the comments guys  Was a bit of a labor of love this cruiser was built in memory of the owners brother, and friend of mine who passed away not long before starting the build. hence the black paint and many of the parts came from his stockpile.

And for you Deny

The ute. converted troopie

I have seen this cruiser in person and looks even better in the flesh.

Mate you need to put up some pics of leftovers too, I know the build is on hold but is a work of art.

A while back I'm sure there was a thread on here somewhere discussing whether the chassis on long wheel base 64 models had been extended by the factory.
I can tell you that this one has. has a big fish plate each side on outside of chassis but the inner chassis boxing looks to be the same as later cruiser chassis. I will put up some pics of the chassis later. need to clean up the modified section first so you will be able to see it properly

Much trouble installing the wjole 75 series engine and gearbox in? What bellhousing you use?

No not really.
Used the engine mount brackets that bolts to block from hj47. The alloy 75 bell housing. just had to slot the holes in the 47 cross member to allow the gearbox mount to slide over a bit further.
Had to cut a small section (about an inch square) out of the lip where the gearbox tunnel plate bolts, to clear a bolt on the top of the gear box. Modified the shifters, but that was more of a personal preference thing, to get them in a nice comfortable to use position. And the tail shafts were altered to suit
