Seeing if someone has had real world experience. I found a fairly cheap class III hitch, but the yard doesn't have the key for the lock. (Cover is locked in place/hitch not installed)

I'm wondering if it would be worth my time/cost of materials (plus purchase of hitch) vs buying another used one, if I can find it. I read cut-off wheels, sawzall, hammer and several other suggestions. My shins & feet prefer me not to beat the crap out of it with a sledge, unless a couple of whacks will suffice<--Almost a guarantee of some type of injury or other irreversible damage

I'm positive it was going to be painful.
Looks like I should've held off for one day, the 80 I bought today came with a hitch and brake controller.
Oh wellllll

. It does have some sweet woodgrain panels inside though. "If" all goes as planned, I will swap tires from the white to grey and replace with something a little more aggressive, we'll see.
