Sorry guys...:ban:
Heres the post for the run this weekend.
Im, regrettably, NOT gonna be able to make this, AGAIN this year. Have a graduation party to go to Sat. night.

We have two trucks committed for this run if we don't get a third by Thursday evening the run will be called off.
Please only post up if you are 100% sure you will be able to make it.

Would love to go, but this weekend is no good for me either. Planning on heading up to the blackrock next (Memorial Weekend). Located some other areas that I haven't been to yet, so going to do some exploring.

OK I'm in. My weekend is clear so I'm going for sure.
I'll be fully packed up Friday so I can leave straight from work. Should be up in that area around 8pm.

Nice pics...looks spring green...hope everyone had a perfect time!

NICE!!!

Wish I could have made that!! Maybe later this summer...

The trail was in very good condition, I never even used 4WD. No reason you couldn't do the trail in your Taco Chicago.

Sent via the ether from my candy bar running ginger bread

Yeah... I'd like to get on that trail sometime.

Nice pics. Hoping to head up this weekend (memorial) for an overnighter. Glad to see that it's green. I hope it still is when we head up.

If you come in from the 34 side and cut across at Grassy Ranch road it drops you in just below Stevens camp, this cuts a lot of drive time off the trip.

Of course I took the wrong turn and we followed cow paths to Grassy Valley Ranch before we got back on the right road.

Rusty,

What tires did you end up putting on the 60?

Also, our plans are to stay west of Hwy 34 and south of Vya. There is a whole section there that we haven't explored or been to yet. Going old school as well. Taking the Jeep, so it will be a light packing trip and it will be just an overnighter.

I went with the BFG AT's. They performed as expected, when we hit some short sections of mud they loaded up  but overall I do so little mud driving it shouldn't be a problem.

I'm going to have to get use to running higher pressures off road though, 25 PSI was a little low for this trip. I burned a lot of gas between Smoke Creek and Gerlach, 28 - 30 would probably have been better.

Thanks for Trail leading for this trip Rusty. And what is a trip without banging down a few cow paths:eek:. Saw alot of cool country and animals and things. Didn't see the beaver just evidence:D

Any one know why my F motor would barf oil out the valve cover somewhere and then just be normal again???? I hate the mysteries unless its in novel form or a good movie:idea:

Learned that fj40s are not the greatest for long hauls(kinda of a no brainer really)--and Harry I sucked plenty of dust this trip:) Was it worth it? Oh Ya:clap:

I bet it was nice to have round tires though.
