Did you put them in the stock housing? If so did you sand the glass ridges?

I have had HIDs installed in my stock housings for over 6 months and I have not been flashed one time. I made sure I adjusted my beams down more than they were before, and I can actually see at night with my low beams on. I am extremely happy with the difference. It was worth it. YMMV.
call me an a******

You guys putting HID's in the stock housing did you go with the 55w ballasts or the 35w?
while she is in the teeny weeny Prius. Strongly recommend you do it right so you are not blinding somebody's grandfather or other person with impaired vision, and the Morimoto 35 watts from TRS are topnotch. I am now doing the same upgrade to my 100 series. HTHMy experience has been exactly like this guy's.
Finally went with Depo Lenses and HID Projectors (Morimoto 35w). Wow, just like a flame thrower, but with a really excellent cutoff that doesn't even bother thewhile she is in the teeny weeny Prius. nor grandfather but I do wear glasses and commute in Civic. Thanks for doing it right.
The problem is with having an LX there is no Depo light that fits correctly. And the low beams are seriously dangerous when you live out of town.
yes,
many will tell you your an a hole for not having the projector in the stock housing blah blah blah, and your discourteous to other drivers blah blah, list goes on.
however, the lights are awesome and you can see at night.
Do it and be happy + see at night

More than discourteous, it's dangerous.
Imagine how great you'll be able to see the front of that Mack truck's grill as you blind him.
If you still want exceedingly bright lights, get some massive driving lights and tie them into your highbeam relay - that way they shut off when you turn your brights off.
Or get some assist (or fog) lights to aid with the mediocre lowbeam performance, at least.
Or spend a small amount of money and convert to the H1/H4 Depo setup (likely less cost than massive driving lights anyway).
A single ticket will cost far more than the conversion would. Running HID's in a non-HID housing is illegal is most states, and while your chances of getting pulled over from them are slim, a bored cop will usually pull over a vehicle for a lighting violation.

Interesting....very interesting.
Get them and let us know how they are!
