Hey everyone!

Just joined, so I am introducing myself, names Trevor. I've got a 99 LC 100, gas 4.7, Emu on 35s. Fully locked. It is old, but it doesn't make me cry about desert pinstriping. Had it for 5 or 6 years now, always on here looking for data, but was never able to join for some reason. I tried again based on my recent experience redoing the starter motor, which was a pain, that second bolt in the back on the driver's side was killer. Anyway, I was putting it back together and leaned on the coolant pipe running through the valley, it leaked some coolant, I inspected the oring and it had a flat outer edge, time to replace. I spent the next 3 weeks trying to find the right oring. Dealer got it wrong, Amazon got it wrong. Eventually I ordered a whole bag of 50 from McMaster Carr, now I have spares if anyone needs one :). That said, in all of my research finding the correct oring was a pain, I wanted to share the results of my research. For the 1999 4.7 at least, it is a 19mm ID x 2.5 mm cs x 24mm OD, make sure that you get it in EPDM, silicon and NBR (nitrile) don't play nice with coolant. So far so good. I'll keep you posted if it fails.

Anyway, thanks for having me.

Welcome! I'd be interested in seeing more of your trailer setup, if you're interested in sharing at some point.

Sure, if people want to know I can show you the modifications and electrical system I added to the SmityBuilt Scout Trailer. I got this one because price was good and has a 2" receiver in the back we use for a bike rack for the 6 mountain bikes. There are 6 of us, so the Cruiser alone isn't enough. I had to add a support for the larger RTT, I used unistrut to do and bolted it through the front of the box, with the load spread out it has been great. The extra storage on top of the box is great for paddle board and canopies. Is there a place or a thread that it would make sense to do a write up at? I'm not much of a blogger.

Great looking rig, reminds me a bit of mine! You should post some more photos of the LC and that trailer!

most appropriate place for a trailer thread would be in the trailer tech forum. I'm bad about not venturing outside the 100-series tech section, so I'm sure I miss a lot of good info and cool builds...
