Well, I'm used to paying alot for shipping, it costs me an extra 1200 or so to ship vehicles from BC to Ottawa, and I don't add it to the final price so I can stay competetive with you guys out west. Oh well.
I just got my HDJ81 in last week - a very nice truck to drive, I forgot how comfy the 80 series were.

Anyone want an 86 HJ60?
After a bit of number crunching, and realising the fact that my goal was probably to work on and sell this thing anyway, I have decided to try to sell this thing as soon as possible. So now I am left with the problem of putting a dollar value on the vehicle. While I am not in the market to rip anyone off, I am also into this vehicle for a bit of money. Combine that with the fact that it isn't running, and I have to assume I will be losing money on this deal more likely than not. Out here there are 2 of the exact same vehicle for sale. Same year color and engine. I have always thought them a bit overpriced, and assume I am right since they have been for sale for some time. You tell me, 8500 and 9999 both Canadian $$$ for an 86 Silver HJ60? Oh and at 275K mine has less mileage. Then of course, mines an Ontario truck, and as such has dealt with a life of salt abuse. All that aside, I had been hoping to rid it for 7 grand once I had cleaned it up and done some body work, seem reasonable. So lets say minus 1k for no body work done, minus 1k for labour to re-install head, minus 1k for a new/used head. Up till now I figure most of my numbers where somewhat realistic, but I can't see anyone buying a non-running HJ for 4 large ones? Anyone wanna throw another POV into the ring?

That's kinda what I figured, and at this point, I've already resigned myself to taking a loss, so 1500-2500 is pretty much what I expected to hear.

So that being said, Anybody wanna buy a not running 1986 HJ60 with a dismantelled and cracked head? less than 270k on it. AAL with 31's. $2,000 OBO This vehicle is for sale in the JDM and diesel parts section.

Can anyone recomend a good Cruiser Mechanic in or near Peterborough, Ontario? I suppose if it's worth the tow, anywhere in Southwestern, Ontario might do.

Sure I would. At this point I want this thing to be History. I've considered the idea of renting a trailer and going to get this thing myself in May, but frankly I'd like to be done with this thing NOW! People have recommended USHIP.COM check em out and see if there are any quotes.
