I had frost on the rear windows of my LJ77, so I went to turn on the rear defooger and the light on the dash to indicate that it is on, did not light up.

The rear "fog light" also did not work.

There is a 15 amp fuse for the rear defogger, it looked ok but I changed it anyway and still no luck.

Checked all the fuses just in case and did not find any bad fuses.

A relay maybe? But where is it? Any help is appreciated.

Hello,

The wires on the rear windows are delicate. If a section is damaged, continuity is lost and there is no heating.

You have to check for continuity with a multimeter. If a line is damaged, it is possible to repair it with a conductive ink marker.

Regarding rear fog lights, the relay is inside the glove box, on the upper side. You have to remove it to have access. Check the DOME fuse as well.

Some Europe-spec trucks have the fog light relay in the front left door's kick panel.

Looks to be both switches. The light bulbs are attached with solder and both seem to be burnt out.

There is 12v at the defogger on the rear windows. Not sure about the fog tail light but the switch looks jerry rigged.

The defogger switch is available but not the fog light.
