I've never seen so many 200s on CL at any given time. In the last week, I found these trucks 200 miles form central TX:

and I agree with the other Local Houston members comments onthe "stealership" in general..... they are the worst of the Houston dealers in reputation ....

Agreed. though the competition for the top spot seems to be fierce these days...

I would never drop LC money on an auction car... There's no reason for a dealer or private seller to put an LC/LX through the auction rather than sell it themselves. This is an easy vehicle to sell. There are a lot of junk and flood damaged vehicles at the used auto auctions though.

That 2013 with the ARB kit is a sweet rig... Colormatched bullbars on a silver vehicle is a clean look.

@thammer62 be patient and know exactly what you want - the pounce when a match hits the market. I almost purchased two 200s and am glad I passed on them due to rust and little clues here/there of owner neglect. I was getting impatient and had to slow myself down.

The 200-series secondhand market is unbelievably competitive, but this forum is great. If you ever find a vehicle in the Raleigh, NC area, let me know. I'll give it a look.

Stopped by Quincy this morning. The place was decent, lots of BMWs and Mercs. Very clean. The LC was about as clean as they could get it. Functionally it looked very good. The doors and seats all moved as the should. Under the hood was clean. However, the photos only hint at how well used this thing was. The drivers door handle paint was worn through. So many gouges and scratches all over the back interior. Someone definitely hauled a lot of sharp heavy things. Lots of stains in the rear floor carpet too. Made a strange sound starting, but ran fine, and I didn't bother driving it. Lots of rusty underneath, especially at the back. Exhaust was coated, don't know if that's normal, mine isn't. Dash said oil maintenance required.

I may have missed something, but I'd hold out for something less used.

Patience grasshopper. It took me 6 months or more to find my rig. But when I did I found a 2011 that looks and drives like a new vehicle at a very fair price. It was in a different state though so I had a private PPI done and had the car delivered to me.

@zmf awesome stuff man. Thanks for your help and eyes on it. For real - so thankful.
This apparently is the under carriage. Ironically the dealer sent them a few minutes ago. So with zmf's report and photos that back it up, this one is no bueno.

Yeah it usually gets worse as you move back to the rear of the truck. Yikes.

Thanks man. Will do.
A black one popped up in Cary about 4-5 weeks ago, I was the first to call the (Jag/LR) dealer about it. I asked for photos and whatnot, and the guy energetically said he would do it and get back with me in an hour or two. After not hearing from him I called mid afternoon and some new voice said they sold it around noon.
THEN last week the dealer calls me wondering if I was still interested in it. I told him about the sold call, and he said he'd check on it. Of course, he never called back. It is still on cargurus, etc as available so who tf knows. Used Toyota Land Cruiser For Sale - CarGurus

Going to be an interesting process if nothing else. Ha.
