Any tips on removing this side bolster adjustment knob from the right side of the drivers seat??

I’m installing seat heaters and need to get this knob off. Reluctant to pull hard - don’t want to break it.

TIA!!

Nevermind. Just found this. C-clip hidden behind it. Gonna be a bitch.

OK, I got it off without breaking it. Although the C-clip vanished through a portal into another dimension. Hopefully it turns back up.

It was an extremely tight fit - but doing my best to wedge my finger or a plastic trim remover between the knob and the leather, you can just BARELY see the C-clip ends if you slowly rotate the knob. I used a sharp piece of plastic on the end of my trim remover tool (you could use a small flathead or anything small and long) to get onto one of the ends of the C-clip and gently pry it in the open direction. It didn't take much effort. The knob pulled right off.

Now to find the C-clip... :(

That looks like the standard clip for window cranks. Part #9052001274.

To remove, use a towel and run the edge around the ends of the clip and pull toward the direction that is comes off. If that makes sense. Saw it on YouTube and seems to work well.

Gettin it back on... well, that's another story EDIT: Well, evidently it's not. Proves how much I overthink stuff. lol

I believe you just install the clip on the handle and simply push the knob back on 😉

Wait, what!!?? I thought the clip would hit the shaft and prevent the knob or crank or whatever from going on. I've always but the part on and then tried to push the clip on.

Revolutionary!!

This is the way. I had to actually pinch the clip tighter because at first it wouldn’t hold.

Getting the headrest posts out is the easy part. Wait until you have to reinsert them.
