The underside and frame seem almost too clean. Possibly recent repaint and coatings to hide the rust underneath? Definetly requires a closer look in person before purchase. If he was advertising it as a restoration then I would expect it to be that clean but not as an unrestored original with those miles.

i'm in rust-free az and see 2 or 3 in the paper and more in the trader quite often for less than 8k. if its a viable option let me know, it would be quite a drive but well worth the sunburn. the club's corner on this sight has a link to the az cruiser club if you're interested. drop us a line and i'm sure we could help you out

I won't buy from someone if they can't spell right. Good to hear that the timing chain has been changed. And WTF is an exhaust ball joint?

I'd keep looking.

The exhaust ball joint connects the muffler bearing races to the muffler defroster.

The exhaust ball joint connects the muffler bearing races to the muffler defroster.

Make sure that exhaust ball joint is functioning properly or it will heat up the blinker fluid to the point of evaporation and your blinkers wont work
