Help me ID This Wire Harness (1 Viewer)

Good day folks. Been around LC for several years but I’m fairly new to 80 series. I was poking around under the hood of my 96 and noticed this harness disconnected. This is near the firewall on driver side of intake. What’s it for? Thanks for any info.

Someone bypassed the egr by the looks of it.. probably a resistor inside that connector with the red/orange seals. The temp sensor screwed into the intake manifold connects to that if you remove the connector with no wires going to it

You’re right that’s just a dummy connector to protect the other end from moisture I suppose. Will this cause drivability or emissions issues? Engine runs great. No CEL.
