I need someone who can work with proper tools on my 2000 LC throwing multiple very concerning warning signs. Bullhead City is reaching peak heat. Anyone in the vicinity with proper knowledge, skills and tools
? I will tow it where u are.

Thank u 4 responding! I'm thinking of towing her to BTB Products or Man-a-fre in Henderson, NV on Mon. They r not responding to my calls so most likely off 'til Mon. They r Landcruiser specialists and with the warning sig
What codes? Maybe post up in the local/nearest LC clubhouse section too.

nals of catastrophic failure, esp. in the heat, that's the kind of expert I really need. And closer to BHC. That's why I was hoping for a local LC expert. But good suggestion, for sure!

To Trunk Monkey: Sorry, new to posting here. Codes?? Thx 4 reminding me. I haven't even checked that and so far, 2 mechanics haven't either :(. No check engine but great idea to go somewhere to check any codes being triggered!

Your best bet is probably to tow it to Vegas and ask here for a shop recommendation there.
Thank u, TahoeZ! What do u think of BTB and Man-a-fre?

No codes thrown or guages rising in heat but intermittent warning signals:
1. Some intermittent high pitched, metallic sounds plus an intermittent very loud, high pitched cat mew.
2. Gasping for air even with AC off.
3. Sudden lurching forward or hesitation upon slow acceleration.
4. Very hot steering wheel and center console.

How do I do that?

How do I do that?
I will try to find any codes thru auto parts store.

I don't have any experience with BTB and Man-a-fre. Maybe someone else will chime in.

What do you mean by "Gasping for air even with AC off"?

Hot steering wheel and console happens in high heat and direct sun.

3 sounds like transmission. Did you check the fluid level and color?

Popcorn at the ready, subscribed, can't wait to see where this goes.

"metallic" sound is always bad, usually bearings or something that's supposed to be rotating but all of sudden doesn't like rotating.
Did you do the basics, like check all fluid levels?

Hot steering wheel is a new one for me, what could transmit heat to the steering wheel?
