Help diagnosing noise (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I am at a loss with trying to identify a noise on my rig. It makes this strange medium pitch honking sounds while accelerating. I first thought it might be the tranny or transfer case but it shifts smooth and it is not at specific shifts. There is no grinding feeling, just this weird noise. Any ideas of what might cause this sort of noise? I am leaning towards front u-joints as it is coming from the front end. Hard to ID since it only does it while driving.

If you suspect diffs/transfer/trans, I'd change those fluids and check for abnormal metal shavings.

Could be wheel bearings, dragging brakes, etc...

If you have a friend with a FLIR camera, that might help as you could see a hot spot somewhere.
