Hi Beach-n-Toys guys and gals. I'm a San Diegan with a '73 FJ40, and am thinking of joining a club to get more trail-time and socializing in. I've explored all around our local mountains, Anza-Borrego, Imperial dunes, and a little Big Bear and Mammoth, but would like to see some new stuff!
It looks like this might be the place, how do I get involved with your club? Can I tag along on runs a little?

Club meetings are 1st Tuesday each month up at Mike's BBQ in Escondido. Come anytime. Otherwise there are threads on here regarding group runs. Should prob also join the "private" section, though I don't recall how to do that

Edit: and welcome! Nice 40 btw.

It's a piece of cake. We get together the first Tuesday of each month so next meeting is next week, Tuesday the 7th . We meet at Mike's BBQ in Escondido. Officially we start at 6:30 but lots of us coagulate in the bar around 530ish for a beer. Feel free to join!

Pretty new myself, but I finally went on a run with a couple of the members. Great group, had a blast on the run to Otay. Nice '73! I have a 73 also

@BrianSanDiego welcome!! Your truck looks familiar, did we talk out in Anza near Coyote Canyon a few months back? I was in a white 100 series with a few other 100s, a 80 and a tacoma.

Hi Crusty, Yes I think so! I would have been with an old CJ and white Wrangler. That's cool, I'm not a total stranger here then, I've probably crossed paths with more than a couple of y'all. Thanks for checking in!
