Part number 8... Specter Off-Road Land Cruiser Parts - Page 044 Land Cruiser Manifolds

Unobtanium.... does anyone have one? if not, what is the solution?

I took apart the manifolds and now i cant find the gasket.

Truck is a 65 FJ45 Thought you all may be able to assist.

As i am sure you know, gasket goes between the manifolds.... it cleaned up nice....

Pic of truck, awaiting gasket.... help if you can...

Found a solution here GASKET ill post pics when i try it...

Looks like a very good option. Being it's in the 25 section it should be easier to search and find this thread later. Just hope I can emember to look here if I need the gasket.

the part number for this gasket is valid on a japan site...gasket is like $9 us

somebody want to try and order it?

PM me for info

Is it sold in a kit, packs, or just one piece at a time?

If they are sold in packs, I could be persuaded to buy a couple :wrench:

yes, i submitted my "request" for 2 of them. They are supposed to email me within 24 hours. If they have them i can order more than 2 if needed.

I would take one maybe two if they have them. I should also look into the donut for the exhaust manifold to the header pipe. At least I believe that is the correct name for the length of pipe between the manifold and muffler.

thats correct, that's an easy one to get from SOR. I have a couple if you need one. .

UPDATE

from supplier...

Greg,

Unfortunately the requested part is no longer available.

Regards,

Justin

looks like the gasket material stuff is going to have to work.

Crisis averted. Here is a pick of Me Gasket material blank and Mr Gasket after LAME fab cut it for me. Its solid stuff and im confident it will hold. $7.00 for each blank. Inexpensive solution to the unobtainium gasket issue.

I saw I was referenced above so here is my $0.02

I have 73 or 74 F155 in my 1963. After a time the gasket between the two manifolds gave out so I had to do something. Well, the mating surfaces were rust. No good steel left. Ultimately I had a nearly 1/8 to 3/16 gap that I spanned with an aluminum plate sandwiched between two pieces of metal reinforced gasket material. So far so good. Cutting and fitting were time consuming but it can be done without too much swearing. A little blood perhaps but no swearing.:grinpimp:
