here we use....liquid dishwashing soap....Fairy....im serious

put some liquid soap in a bucket.....add water...move it like ur scrambling an egg...get it all bubbly....then take the soap bubbles (NO water)...wipe the headliner and gently wipe off with a dry sponge..

we do have shops here that call this a car "coiffure"....normal car wash would cost about 25 pounds (3 US$) while a coiffure will cost about 400 ( US$50).....

Here's the info on the glue... You'll notice it says flammable.... glue that flammable has a higher bound quality

Dredging up an older thread.... I tried Folex but my headliner and trim is beyond all that.

I’m searching for this Parabond M-250 and neither Amazon or Google know anything about it. That’s kind of amazing in and of itself. Any idea where and how to source this stuff?

I’m using 3M 77 now, but I think I need a little more bonding action. Might try the 90 next unless I can find the Parabond somewhere.

I’ve started only on the pillar trim and I think it looks fantastic, but every now and then I get a little piece that comes loose.

Try this:

This is the stuff the Automotive Interior Shop that has done a couple headliners for me uses.

Cost me $100 to have the headliner recovered when I take it to him. Not worth my time to clean, scrub, or strip and re-do.

Great ideas on the recovering with vinyl. I went the Folex and small bissell from Lowe’s. Works ok with the headliner still installed.

@surg0107 how did you like it? Mine has some pretty nasty stains. I found a guy selling a replacement that is very clean for $90...not sure if I should just buy that. Mine is a 97.

@NorCalFJ100 I would just get the replacement. It would save a lot of time. Doubt an interior shop could recover for $90. Mine turned out clean. I will probably have it recovered due to some old glue the PO used for Velcro (droopy sunvisors).
