I read the rules...I am looking for a clarification. It just says "no alcohol". I have no problems following the rules if I am clear what they are. At Superlift the booze was prohibited on the trails, not at the campsite. I am wondering if it is the same way here. Not trying to start a debate, just want to know what I can and can't do if by the grace of god I get to go. I have no intentions of getting us thrown out, but then again I had no intentions of getting us thrown out of the Beach House either. Bottom line can I drink Tequila or not?

The alcohol is in there for safety purposes and liability. But follows the same rules as most, drink at camp but not on trails. But I don't see it being enforced too heavy

dontcha wanna?

Matt, is 4 better I can do 4.

Jonas, 55 is better, less troopers more stops if needed for the ladies and if anything goes south were close to what we need to get north.

dontcha wanna?

I can't see it being a problem. I'll be drinking jack and coke in a cup so I'll keep it inconspicuous as well.

As far as path... 55, from Hammond do I don't have to meet y'all in Nola or northshore and then double back.

4, meeting in Hammond. It's getting close!

Jonas, I was just in a mood yesterday to mess with you. I would agree with Erick that they are going to put that in there for liability reasons. Unless the park is in a dry county, I can't see why you can't drink at camp. They just don't want drunk / high people out on the trails. And I don't think they will be looking for it, especially in the campsite area. :D

Ca Caw!!

Do y'all want me to talk to them incase?

dontcha wanna?

Alot of those places also say no firearms too. just sayin.

No shooting it or the furry animals.

I on the other hand am always armed in one form or another.

I think it said no discharging of firearms, but I'm with Erick I'll have something anyway. Its like the drinking thing... their covered for liability by stating it, but unless your doing something really stupid in regards to drinking, or walking around with a rifle slung over your shoulder, they probably would never tell you anything. Plus they can't tell me anything if they don't know about it ;)

Jonas, if hypothetically you went, what day and time would you leave?

Wellll, I was going to give it a shot on Friday morning and returning on Sunday but as always things change from minute to minute for me so I don't think it's even on the table any longer.

Friday 3:30pm: I get someone to verbally commit to taking my on call shift for those three days.
Sunday 1:45pm: I finally grow a set and ask my wife if it's even a possibility.
Sunday 2:00pm: My wife says no problem please go and have fun as long as your home by Sunday post nap.
Monday 6:00am: my wife sends me a text that starts out "I have been thinking more about that trip you want to go on and we really should sit down and discuss it......"
Monday 6:30am: I am no longer going on this trip.

Things may change again before the dates arrive but at some point I just loose interest. It's hard to let yourself invest in something that more than likely will be revoked before it can happen. My relationship with my wife is akin to Lucy, Charlie Brown, and a football. Chances are always hi that the ball will be removed before I have a chance to kick it no matter how much reassurance she gives me ahead of time.
