My 79’ Cherokee had a vacuum operated emergency switch located in the glove box… it had an electric indicator light on the dash … I think was located (30 yrs ago) in the fuel temp cluster

I am talking about the switch used to turn on the light. Current switch has two has two wires and not sign of a light.

The shift fork is made to activate a switch.

No light and nothing connect to the switch wires.
Searching line I find a switch with one connector. Looks like it fit where two wire is. But not seeing any on the diagram of the transfer where it would go. For the cost with probably just buy the switch and see when the lever is in locked it makes the connection. One wire or two wire doesn't matter. Can make it work with parts I have on hand. I wish it was activated by vacuum the the jeep. That's easy to do again with parts I already have.
