BC Ferries looks to ban passengers from staying on bottom decks during sailings

Every summer I do a camping trip to the interior in my 40 with my two dogs. Because I leave the top behind I stay on the car deck with the dogs, guess that won't work anymore...

what are they going to do when someone refuses to get out or their car the first day they try to impose this?

They are ruthless they ban ridership for small things like drinking in your car. Almost happend to my cousin haha. I'm not sure how they know who is who, maby license plates. If that's the case 30 bucks gets new you new numbers

This is aimed at lower car decks only as far as I can understand it. Upper decks and people with dogs are going to be ok. In the event of emergency, there is no way to get citizens off the lower deck if it is awash. This law was enforced when we had that catamaran ferry cause it was sealed with those high tech doors. The older ferries it was never enforced. Phone BC Ferries, but I wouldn't get all worried as far as travelling with the dogs.

Maby because I pull a trailer but they always put me on the bottom deck with the rigs. Or maby it's because my truck is so nice they don't want the regular passengers opening their car doors into it.

BC Ferries could give a rats ass about how nice your truck is.... but trailers do tend to get put on bottom deck.

It's too bad the small back windows of the Ambo are fully tinted... the car would likely be on an open air deck.
