Looking for a set of new battery cables. I know the OEM are not available. Who makes a good set of aftermarket cables?

There used to be a company called Urban Land Cruisers that made em but they're out of business.

@Fourrunner makes aftermarket replacement cables.

Thread is here.

Are my two lower radiator hoses situated correctly? The one that connects to the water pump looks like it's at a funny angle.

I don't understand brake line thread sizes. @65swb45 what size brake line thread connectors do I need to get to connect to the master cylinder I bought from you?

I thought it would be M10x1, which is what I think I have. But the line I have won't thread to the MC.

(I must sound really confused.)

:eek:

10x1.0 is what it is, is what it always has been. What does the end of your fitting look like?

They take a 10mm wrench

There's one threaded into the FJ40 axle tee fitting.

Well, that sounds like it should work. What seems to be the problem? Hole too small? Threads wrong pitch? I've been doing this conversion for 25 years and never encountered a problem.

@65swb45 above are 3 photos.

My prop valve, a JEGS unit, definitely not M10, came with two brass fittings. Those fittings thread into the MC perfectly. But my M10 brake line fittings will not thread into the MC.

There are a ton of brake line adapter fittings out there, Russell makes some very good ones. I'd start with Summit Racing and if it's out there they'll have it.

I have a similar proportioning valve on my 40 and I had to source the correct SAE (for the valve) to metric adapter. The fittings that came with your proportioning valve are likely (very likely) for an SAE flare brake line.

Alfred, being a student of tic-tac-toe, I can see where this is headed. Just send it back. I can't do anything else for you over the Internet.

Mark, I'm not sure I understand the tic-tac-toe comment. And I'm not clear on what you mean by "where this is headed". I'm just trying to understand how to fit things together.

I think the hard lines I need will all be 3/16". The threaded parts, though, there seems to be American threads and Japanese threads. I was surprised to find American threads on the MC because I thought it was a Japanese part.

Thank you for the help you've provided. I don't wish to send anything back to you. I want to make it work, that's my goal.

Alfred, I have had on occasion had to go to the parts store and find the connector or adapter that works and sometimes make a short line or two just to make it work. Time to be clever. The speed shop in Billings has lots of stuff for making it work.

Alfred, it is a Toyota MC. I can't think of a reason in the world why it would be anything other than 10x1.0. If you're dead sure your fittings are the same, I don't know what else to say.

I would check one on my end, but I sold out on Thursday (funnily enough @brew8 was one of them) and am currently waiting for more to come in.
