Might want to watch how many of these you eat in a row. They have a reputation of binding people up. Never experienced this myself but have seldom eaten more then 1 per day whiile backacking.

I've heard that, too.
They're terrifyingly short of fiber.

Mmmmm...MRE's...gotta love them!

I find it curious that anyone would enjoy a MRE for more than novelty sake. I ate them regularly for years and wished that I could have had some old C rations. At least the crackers weren't crushed. We carried tabasco, and others, to flavor it up. Now it comes with a mini bottle? Oh, and a chemical heater?

Familiarity breeds contempt. In the arena of easy trail food MRE's rank pretty high IMHO. If that was all I had for month I'm sure I'd get tired of them, but for a few days they are fine.

the new ones really are not bad. the old dark-brown packaged ones would make you gag if you tried to eat them cold, but the new ones are fairly tasty.
its all about the pound cake and jalapeno cheese anyway. I used to trade my dairy shakes though, too weird.
i like that they finally include the hot beverage pouch in with the heater now so you can enjoy a warm beverage.

MRE.

Meal Refusing to Exit.
The gum is said to be a laxative. So they say.
