This sounds strangely familiar...

I've never been to Hackett. It sounds like a good run. Count me in.

You never know who is going to turn up these days. It isn't December yet. I usually would be down in Alb. at the Balloon Fiesta starting this weekend, but for some reason my boss wants me to stay here and work. That means I can fit in a trip this weekend. It will be good to catch up in person. I have been lurking here from time to time. I did have to fight off the jungle monkeys to get through the portal of the logon guard. Maybe you will still let me play in December if i show up this weekend.

Well, I'm sick and won't be on this run. I was looking forward to getting together with the old friends and making new ones.

Greg, Heather and I went to look at the Suburban on Hackett today. Good news is it's not past the teller county line gate, bad news is its down off the trail a ways. Glass and trash scattered everywhere. Looks like the transmission may have failed, leaving it stranded. I was told the front suspension was missing, but all four corners are intact. It is a 94/95 IFS suburban, so i doubt it will get stripped any further. Needs a drivers side tie rod end and a nut on the passenger side, and it could be dragged with steering. Need some six lug toyota/ Chevy wheels. I would take the rims and tires from the pickup, but not sure the 285's would fit on the stock height rig. I believe we could use two winches to get it back up on the trail, the strap two rigs together and we could drag it out.

Looks like you guys had a great day for wheelin'. That thing looks beat, hate to see someone burn up their winch trying to get that hog out.

I vote Chinook!!! :D

I was thinking two winches, or maybe even three. Split the load. Two winches might not move it, three might rip it in half :) it does have some beefy tow hooks on the front of it.
