I'm kind of illiterate but....
I have stock '81 FJ40 w/H42 & split t/case. What add'l parts would it take to drop your gears in my H42 and make it work. I am very interested in getting a lower granny.

You need a different input shaft, which is available from SOR, and you probably to do a bearing kit while you're in there. If there's any wear in your output shaft, you should replace that too.

It should work fine with the split case, AFAIK.

First, do you still have this.

Second, I noticed in the first picture that the shaft on the right has some rust on it. Will that effect the seal, ie cause the transmission to leak?
