Funny, I just watched the video and was going to post it the same way. Matt has a great channel.

I would be interested to hear the drivers story. I‘ve done several night water crossings but that didn’t even look like a crossing, more like driving along in the river. Maybe I missed seeing it?

Looks like him and his friend in the Tacoma were messing around by the river as part of a camping night. Something I'm guilty of as well :). Water crossings can be pretty dangerous - I've made a habit of walking and probing them first, especially here where our creeks are crystal-clear and what looks like 1' of water can be 3-4' of water.

That poor GX is probably trashed now. I didn't catch if it sucked any water into that 2UZ but the water was really close to where the intake was located. I'm sure it will be salvaged and make a good parts vehicle, but sad to see it's demise as it looked pretty clean and rust free.

Love Matt's channel as well - we watch every video that he and his buddy Fab Rats post. They are very down-to-earth and likeable.

I wheel with some jeeps so we just send the jeeps in first

Always a good idea! If their crummy Chrysler electronics can make the crossing your Lexus can no problem!

I found him on Instagram. Says the engine is good but electrical is messed up.
