For an A/T tire, they are fairly quiet (obviously not like a highway tire). The ride is relatively smooth on road as well. Definitely a good option for a mostly on-road daily driver. I run the Falken Wildpeaks on my 4Runner for over 50k. I've been very impressed with the Falken products.

I've been very happy with mine as well after 1700 miles now. I went with the OEM size and got the XL load range version as I tow frequently. Like you said they aren't quiet, however, they aren't any louder than my KO2's were on the 4Runner. It helps that the GX is so quiet to begin with. I never actually drove with the OEM tires as they were swapped out before I took delivery.

And while we are talking tires… there should probably be another thread, but 13k in I’m incredibly happy with my Toyo ATIII in the c-rated 285/70r17 size. I’ve been in most terrains now and lots of road miles too. They’re great, wearing evenly and are a really good balance of performance. Where they may not have the Velcro like traction of the Falken in the snow, they do well. They have similar performance in the rain, which we get a lot of. The Toyo is better in mud due to the slightly more open tread design. The Toyo looks better due to the aggressive sidewall (the rims help their appearance as well). They seem to be chunking a little less from off-road than the Falken, though admittedly my Tundra was a heavy beast. Lastly they are made locally to me in GA and I’ve been very satisfied with them so far 👍🏻

Good luck on your venture! If you do get a Hundy, I have a bunch of posts on the 100 series site also from when I had mine. (assuming you have any plans for it)

Fraser Valley in BC, 20 min N of the border.
And yes IT has been messing with us far too long!

Here was the end of our run North, just about the end of that trail anyways so didn’t miss too much.
