I got evacuated from Topanga back in '16. We've been glad to be in the heart of the San Fernando Valley this week. We just went to Palisades High and hiked up into the state park on Sunday, it's crazy how quickly that all changed. I'm really going to miss some of those spots that have burned, it was a regular hangout for us despite having moved to the other side of the ridge.

For any other locals, DM me if you need anything. I've got a big driveway and garage to store cars/belongings if needed. We're going to Pierce College this weekend to see if there's anything we can do to help at the large animal shelter. This community sticks together when the going gets tough, so I'm looking to do my part.

I don't think I ever visited in the winter, that looks nasty. Cool place in the summer though, it's an amazing place for bird watching.
HUGE kudos to you K Dub for offering those services!

Are those the sport, pro, or max SS3 foglights?
I just opted for the sports. They’re wildly bright to be used on road, but DD really dialed in this SAE variant because I’ve only gotten flashed a few times. Can’t recommend the kit enough!

“Snow storm” was a bit of a dud. 6yo got some sledding in, but the snow ice amount wasn’t much of a test for the GX. The new tires definitely did fine with what they were up against. Didn’t feel like traction was lacking but it wasn’t extreme either. Minimal accumulation on roads and didn’t really ice over (hovered right above 32 all night) except a couple of bridges but they were handled with ease. Regretted airing down once I had to immediately air up :/

More videos coming!

Whenever it snows I just lament about the sky falling.

Also snow can make some advanced trails do-able by a rig like mine, with snow tires.

6” of snow in the Deep South……a once in a lifetime event. We have gotten snow before but not like this. Oh, and you folks who get it all the time, you can keep this $hit! 😕

We never got more than 3 or 4" of snow at a time this season. Mostly just a couple here and there. Love the real time 4wd just point and go. I was getting worn out putting tundra into 4hi go 15 ft back to 2wd and then make a hard right onto a cleared street.

I this right now? I thought some of that had passed.

I've been joking (kinda) that it's funny that bits of Florida have gotten more snow than we have in Reno thus far.
Same in Loveland. Its been going around us.

We will get some heavy rain in the valley and, hopefully, snow in the High Sierras this weekend, bringing over two feet of snow by midweek. I'm excited! I'll be headed up around 6,200 feet this weekend, hoping to see some fresh snowfall. If not, next weekend will definitely be a powder weekend.

We're trying to do southern Oregon tomorrow into the weekend. I think it's getting the same amount too so it's exciting.

Everyday it changes a little bit, and looks like midweek it’s gonna get almost 3ft. And the temps are going to be lower so I think the snows going to stick around at the lower elevations for longer. Wentworth Springs Rd should be a blast.
