Steve-O,

I live in So-Cal and wondered if I could come by and pick it up in person? Also how much would you charge to have it installed?

Thanks, Eric

I'll take a pair! So does MAF drop-ship them to us, or do I have to go to Loveland to get mine?

I'll install yours, Mr. Weasel, to get practice on my own (have glass shop in Castle Rock).

I'm sold, add me to the buyers list. I'll find some change in the couch and get them paid for.

Are 'we' paying for the $150 now and shipping costs later, or all at once?

I want a pair, but I am not sure if I can have the dough by then. I'll work on it and get back to the thread later....

Tinker: I added you to the list. MAF is drop-shipping to each buyer. And you're welcome to install my windows...it's a good excuse to go down there and meet you anyway!

Doc: you're on the list. We're paying $150 now (billed to your card around June 20th), and shipping costs will be billed to your card when MAF ships the windows to you.

Im In!!!!

can i get in on a Colorado shipping??? -sean

I am interested in a set. Please add me to the list. Any idea on how much shipping to Texas will cost? Thanks.

Overhanger has a set installed in his 62. See the cover of TT from last summer with the red & white 62 on it.

I have seen closeups but do not have any at work. Perhaps he will post some shots.

Search the 3FE list archives at birfield.com for rear sliders and you will get the scuttlebut on his install.

hullendersauce: added you to the list. You can have your windows shipped to my house if you really want to, but there's no cost savings. One pair of windows per box is weight limit for the boxes, according to the MAF shipping department.

luker: you're on the list. Shipping to Texas should be less than $40, I'd assume, and probably closer to $30-35.

BarnacleBob: added you to the list...

I am in too. I will PM Steve-O with info.

Thanks again to Polarweasel for answering some of the questions for me!

Of course windows can be picked up locally, I will talk to my mechanic to see how much for the install. I would still reccomend a glass shop to be honest, they are used to stuff like this.
Shipping wont be a problem to Canada at all, we ship there all the time. Customs over there however is out of my hands, I know they will get over the border, but I am not sure how much the duties and taxes will cost.
I will try to find a few good pictures and post on here, unfortunately I do not have any vehicles with them installed in our shop right now.

Thanks! Steve

ok I can go to the 3fe list (used to be on it, but it was consuming mylife) , but everytime I do a search it only searches the topics on that page,,, pic would be great, as I am also not understanding the weather stripping thing,,

Yeah the problem with the weatherstipping is that there is none. The windows in Australia were glued in with a heavy duty rubber (butyl) You can read a little bit about it HERE. Although the windows here in the states used weatherstrip, Aussies did not.

Thanks, Steve.

Searching 3FE archives is best done through birfield.com search engine for that list.
