Fwiw, we are in the final stages design of a 2nd battery mounting solution ... We have all the mounts made and just now in the pricing and production stage. Will have better idea I pricing and eta's next week. Will also post some pics.

Pricing, eta's and pictures? When do you expect to provide an update?

Fwiw, we are in the final stages design of a 2nd battery mounting solution and main upgrade as well as ARB single and double compressor mounts. Catch is DIE HARD platinums are now longer available so we are looking at other alternatives that is dimensionally the same. When can we expect pricing, eta's and pics ?

Have you posted the information on another link?

Sorry, it is taking a little longer than anticipated to get it ready for sale. We have the parts here, but waiting for the reservoir relocate brackets and some of the smaller parts.

Here is a very quick crappy pic of the 2nd tray with reservoir relocate. It will use a simple bar with J bolts to clamp the battery down. We still have to get a plastic spacer made for the bottom to avoid contact between bolts and battery.

The group 31 upgrade is similar to our 100 series option with a new bottom tray and a new clamp on top. Pricing is not set yet.

I need a new battery so this should be right on time.
I have twin Die Hard Platinum 31Ms on the boat. They are monsters and $$$$.

Is the Slee tray required to fit a Group 31 in the stock location? If not, is it as simple as swapping the battery, or are other components required to make it work?

The stock plastic tray in the starting battery location won't fit the huge group 31, but if you take that out, you can probably make it work.

I have the Slee trays.

I was wondering this myself. I believe it will extend over the edge of the factory tray as the tray was designed for a group 27. The group 31 is about 1/2" taller that the group 27 so not sure if the bracket will work properly. And the terminals are mid-point on the group 31 vs at the back on a group 27 so some method to extend the cable a couple inches would be needed. So probably not a drop in replacement.

Good to know!

That's along the lines of what I was thinking, too.

Great info. Can anyone confirm that put a grp 31 in the stock tray?

Any good recommendations for a flooded lead acid group 31? I don't believe Costco has this size IIRC and they're generally my go to.

What are you asking? The stock plastic tray is too small for the group 31 footprint. Can you remove the plastic tray and put a group 31 in the same spot? Why not? That's all you are doing with the Slee bracket. You may need to mess with a custom hold down and extend cables. Why not just buy the Slee? :)

That's a fair question and I haven't dug deep enough on this.

If the stock tray can be modified easily enough by cutting the end and creating an extended lip that would secure the battery enough, I'd probably do that. If not, I'd just fab my own with some left over sheet and a sheet metal brake. Doesn't look to be a very complex piece.

There isn't much to the stock plastic tray.

For me - cost. Love their products, but getting them into Canada, and especially given the current exchange rate is just ridiculous.

The Slee tray starts at $120, which I could accept if it were in CAD. But between shipping, currency conversion, and brokerage fees at the border I'll be lucky if I get it for under $250 CAD. A significant chunk of change for a fairly small upgrade.

Suppose I could get a local metal shop to make me a tray like that, but don't really want to put the effort into designing it, sourcing larger clamps for the battery, etc. Will have to go with a normal group 27 for now.

The stock clamp, with a few tweaks, will hold down a group 31 w/o issue.

Ok, my first mod to the 200!! Part of my plans for this rig include a dual battery setup. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like anyone makes a kit for a group 31 in the stock location. So I did it from scratch. I fabbed the brackets from 1/8" aluminum based on some ideas I got from the interweb and mostly from 100 series group 31 brackets. All in all. it was pretty straightforward. The 31 fits without issue, so the only work was the brackets. I used some group 31 stud adapters so I could use the terminals on the battery closest to the edge. Next step: add the second battery, which will be my starting battery and isolate the two. I decided to go with the two Die Hard Marine Batteries because I wanted to go AGM and they're just rebadged Odysseys but quite a bit less than if they sport the Odyssey label... So, here are the pics:

@619TOY Would you consider selling me a set of brackets? I have a 08 LC that I’m looking to do the upgrade for. Thought I’d take a shot and ask
