Upcoming mods:

Half doors. I have a set that need some TLC and are perfect for half doors. I'll start in on them shortly.

I am saving for a winch and front bumper. That will happen this winter.

Next year will be a full family style cage, maybe Metal Tech, along with new seats and harnesses.

Eventually I need to rebuild my hard top.

Stay tuned for the half doors.

I know. :frown: I had it all together and then found that I needed to rebuild the NV4500. You know how that goes.

So, hopefully, I'll have it all buttoned back up by the opening of the Naches/Manastash area trails on the 15th.

Good luck with the new springs and all.

Well hurry it up already! The trails aren't getting any younger... :p

Lets hope the trails actually open...

How about we head there together?

So Steve, how did your spring changes work out on the trail this past weekend?

Got a great deal on a 12k winch from Harbor Freight for $240 so I couldn't pass that up. Bought some steel last weekend to fab the bumper and winch mount. I'll try to take pics of the progress this time.

Hi all:

That looks pretty good Steve; you put a lot of thought into the details.

So, let's go pull your rig up a high hill climb and test-out that new bumper/winch mount! ;)

Regards,

Alan

Steve, you cut your front fenders. :frown: What happened?

Winch installed and wired.

I need to find a way to hold the hook and keep the wire tight. I've seen rubber/plastic holders for the hooks. Might find one and try it out.

I made the mistake of letting the wire loosen a little. I ended up having to pull it all the way out and re-spool it. Not an easy task to do alone. The HF winches are SLOW. :)
