It was great to put a face to a name and it was even better to see the kids having a great time. The boss (Mrs F) seemed to be faring pretty well while in camp mode, hopefully that will mean more family trips in the future :) I thought it had to be ya'll with the 2 very nice Toyota's, glad we got to touch base for a few minutes. Definitely looking forward to more trips if anyone heads out to our neck of the woods.

You didn't pass a stuck porsche on the way over did ya? We talked to some folks for a second as we were leaving and they asked if the water was too deep. Told them their vehicle was capable enough if they really wanted to do it.

Ha, no. No stuck Porsche (Cheyenne I'm assuming). It was a beautiful but easy trail (as you mentioned). I'm pretty confident we could have made it in my wife's Highlander.

And as for the little lady being in camping mode, she loved it. Ready to go again.

And as for wheelin' down in your area, I can't wait to get down there to explore some more... beautiful, varied landscapes.

Bought some toys for the trip (hoping someone getsstuck in the sand......just not too deep :grinpimp:):

Might come in handy during the Christmas Tree Cutting runs as well.
Saw a cool tip in a magazine today...tie parachute cord to the ramp and the truck when you get stuck in the snow, then just keep driving, dragging the ramp to firmer ground.

Cool. Bought some paracord a while back but haven't gotten to use any yet. This would be a good idea to try out......really get out of the mud/goop/snow before you stop to pick up your traction ladders (or whatever they call these things).

Hopefully they'll see some action during the snow season. COME ON SNOW!!!

Glad it was a good trip Travis.

As for the traction ladders, don't worry, given your history I am sure will will have plenty of opportunity for self recovery

I think they would work on flat ground, can't imagine they would help going up on any incline? I would be interested to see them in action.
