It's doubftul that my address is 'too remote.' I can literally see Qantas planes on the runway from my local park and if I were any closer to Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, I would be in the middle of the runway.

I put out the idea of a Group Buy in this thread and CCSC responded with a substantial discount, so I jumped on the deal! The total delivered price including shipping ($115.00) was $1258.72US. Saved about $175.00 US with the discount! Ordered it on 10-6 and it is expected to be delivered today (10-16). Hope to install it early next week.

Yeah, the discount is great for sure, but finding a grand to make my spotify+car experience incrementally better is the challenge.

I like the product and it's certainly an upgrade. But Im in the middle of upgrading the suspension and speakers. It may simply bump until post Christmas.

Completely understandable! Whilst most of our customers are simply after seamless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto integration, there are multiple other benefits to our kit.

* Bluetooth BLE device compatibility - this means you can connect third party Bluetooth devices (such as OBDII adapters, dual battery monitors etc). We’ve had customers purchase the kit solely so they can see trans / intake / Exhaust gas temps on their factory screen!

* Offroad / offline GPS navigation - HEMA, a very popular app over here, provides offroad navigation / mapping (not sure if there’s a go to app in the U.S.). Our units also come with TomTom GPS navigation with your states maps preloaded. This operates similarly to the OEM GPS navigation as the maps are loaded onto the unit and don’t require a phone or network connection to work. But unlike the OEM maps, updates are free and TomTom usually releases them 2-3 times per year. Updating is as easy as connecting to a wifi network (your phone hotspot or home WiFi for example) and updating through the app.

* I mentioned this before, but being an Android based OS, you have access to the Google play store and can download 1000s of apps directly onto the unit. We have customers over here who’ve connected their home security system via the respective app and get notifications from it, some can even get a live view of their home security cameras! We’ve had other customers who go hunting and use their thermal cameras via an app on their screen, crazy stuff!

* SIM card input - this means you can get a cheap data only SIM (or get a shared data SIM) so the interface is connected to a network full-time (subject to reception ofcourse). Switching between wireless Apple CarPlay and an app that requires a network connection is easy!

With 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, there’s plenty of processing power and memory for apps / maps / music / movies etc.

I frequently get complaints from people on the other end of calls placed thru Bluetooth that they have trouble hearing me. Can anybody report back whether call quality improves with this unit? Would be an added bonus.

my calls have all been good, no complaints. The one time I asked how I sounded the other person said I sounded really good, but that was a facetime audio call, not sure if that is better audio than a regular call.

4 low, and the camera button on the right side of the steering wheel, work exactly as they should. No issues.

I believe in the settings for the unit it has an option for what is activated when the voice command button is press. Mine was set to Siri by default. Poke around and please let me know if that works. I never used aa in my unit so haven’t tried it personally

The unit took about 2 and 1/2 hours to install. The installation guide was detailed enough for even me to be able to install it. Note I installed the USB port (aftermarket part)on the side of console. I hate dangling cords!
The only issues I am having is I am not able to use Google voice controls through the steering wheel or touching the screen. The other issue is the SIM card provision will not work due to the unit manufacturer claiming they do not have the right frequency in their package yet. I was hoping to install a SIM card just to make it a more friendly experience. Custom car systems customer service is exceptionally good. They respond quickly to any questions though they are 17 hours in front of Arizona. Here are a few photos of what I've installed so far.
