What a great story! My 73 FJ40 has a similary story but has always been in my garage. My father bought his first cruiser in July 1973 (built March 1973) taught me how to drive it when I was 11. I'm glad you were able to find it! It's a great story to tell a car guy (especially a Cruiser guy) that "you still have the car you learned how do dirve on".

Just set up my winch and got it wired. Runs great and I am happy for the extra insurance when out by myself!

Random Updates

So its been a long time since I've updated the build, but I've been working on a bunch of projects and have spent a lot of that time on the WasatchCruisers.org forum getting things done!
First off I got this for Valentines from my wife! Totally awesome!

Then I got my new Trollhole Carb and DIzzy installed. Runs great and starts better than ever even in the freezing cold we've had!

Put a 2f valve cover and intake in to help with the future power steering mods one day and to fit a snorkel when the fundage allows!

I'm currently rebuilding an axle with the help of CruiserOutfitters and the Wasatch Crew! Should be ready to go under the rig for our local Tech Night Feb 28th!http://www.wasatchcruisers.org/vbulletinfrm/showthread.php?9645-Feb-28th-Tech-Night&p=107464#post107464

Nest on the Docket is an Orion! George at Valley Hybrids was the only one who had a case in hand so I snatched it up. Advanced is behind a bit. So between Kurt At Cruiser Outfitters, Trollhole and George I'm getting all the parts I need and this will be Orion, Disc Front, Trollhole Carbed, and rocking! Cruise Moab Here I come!

Got more work done. Front axle swapped out with later year birfs mini knuckles and 4 runner disc calipers and vented fj60 rotors. Stops on a dime! Also got aisin hubs I'm the deal. Thanks Kurt at cruiser outfitters!












Runs great also put on some shims to help with caster
