I am now thinking I need a GPS after getting myself quite a ways in the back side of Dumont.. Found some great trails, maybe not quite wagon or sprung over friendly, very tight and quite a lot of fun..

Any idea of what a good brand is?

Did come across one with back up camera, would be cool when the mirrors are pulled in..

PS I think the LJ would make it through with a bit of spotting.

Very happy with my Garmin Nuvi 760 I bought used. Tons of people are selling them used in the $20-30 range on craigslist/usedvic etc. if you want save some money. They've got easy menus, come with regular maps and accept SD cards with new maps easily. Quality is good, they have touch screen etc.

The biggest thing is getting some good maps to load in. I'm really happy with the backroads mapbook for BC on mine. When you are ready to look into what map to get, PM me and I can help set you up...:grinpimp:

I have been real happy with Garmin and some guys are sold on Magellan. I have never seen one with a back up camera but that would be handy.

FYI, I picked up a $300 backup camera from costco with a 7" display and inputs for up to 3 cameras. Could help to spot a lot, and you'd still have $100 left over for a GPS.

What about using a tablet? They all have GPS in them now. Bigger screens, better resolution?

Good possibility, would you have to be in range of cell?

As we get old and cannot see all corners, I really like this idea..;)..
