Last summer we had and incident with our Kelty Car port. Wind caught it blah blah. At the end of the day the fabric was ripped and a pole was bent.
I learned of the Kelty free lifetime repair policy. A couple of weeks ago I printed out the return slip and shipped off the shell and bent pole.

The big Brown truck of happiness dropped off a package today with the repaired car port inside. I must say I am very pleased with the results. The fabric repair is very well done and the bent pole had the damaged section replace and new bungee cord installed.

I'm sure we will get many more years of enjoyment out of our Car port.

I am also a Kelty fan. I broke a pole on my Large Sunshade because I had not properly anchored it and they sent me a replacement pole no questions asked.

Kelty sent we a new hip belt for my backpack on their dime (2nd day shipping). I am very happy and very loyal to Kelty.

Kelty has some of the best prices too. I heard that camping gear is a cut throat business so a lot of the companies are like that. I bought a Gergory backpack at an REI garage sale with a broken hip band for $13.00. Called the comapny and told them I bought it used at REI. They told me to send it in. $13 for UPS to there door. $26 later and I had a almost brand new $350 pack!!!!!

Ha, I don't have anything tech to say about Kelty, but "The big Brown truck of happiness" really made me laugh.

Next time, secure the thing a little better, will ya?

We were Kayaking up at Boca Res. Everything was fine until we started taking the carport down. We had the carport on the ground getting ready to take it apart and of course that was the exact time a Zephyr hit.

I have a Kelty story that I share with anyone who will listen.

Years ago when my first child was little we bought a Kelty Backpack kid carrier off of craigslist. It was a great deal @ $65 and I used it constantly for a couple of years.

We were camping / hiking and I ended breaking one of the legs while stuffing it into my truck.....bummer

I brought it to REI to see if they could send it to Kelty and that I was happy to pay for the repair.

A couple of weeks go by without word, I ask REI to call on our behalf. 2 days later a BRAND NEW backpack shows up free of charge. I was absolutely blown away.

I literally tell this story to anyone who will listen because Kelty took care of me. I was not even a customer, I bought it used on the internet yet I was still treated like I was an important customer. If I can get one or two people to buy a Kelty product by telling my story then I believe I am paying a great company back.
