Goop Hand Cleaner To Soften Dried Rubber?

Yeah, not excited about using brake fluid.

Found some Goop - it is different than other waterless hand cleaners. #1 ingredient is isoparafins.

I also found some Sil-Glyde and tried it, I do not think it will restore old rubber, just help it release from metal

I pulled my windshield from the 40 last night and gooped up the gasket. It seemed to soften things up a little bit.

i'll have to try that. i've washed everything and scrubbed it with westley's bleach white, then soaked in son of a gun with good luck.

I would recommend it.

Windshield install went very well tonight, I think the Goop helped the rubber.
